Spontaneous poetry
Theme: Love

In hearts buildings are erected
Some of wood, clay and bricks
Each material signifies a memory
A memory that just won’t leave
A lasting imprint in the heart
In hearts buildings are erected
When you arrived in my heart
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect
My heart needed a makeover
Its buildings had grown ancient
And their foundations looked shaky
But you had a plan all along
With patience you set your foundation
And with care you erected your pillars
With charm you adorned your gates
Till it glittered from among the rest
There your magnificent mansion stood
Towering high above them all
In hearts buildings are erected
Some are dull cottages
Others are ginormous and bright
Which kind of building to erect
Is yours to decide
But the heart never forgets
