No Offense to the Offended

Spontaneous poetry

Theme: Irritation, Offense

It should have been here!
It should have been there!
The day begins with seamless bouts of introspection
Which unarguably points to a casualty
A casualty apart from self

The gloom that looms
Is the miscalculation of others
Times and seasons in the hands of devout enemies
Around whom the world revolves
In quite an unusual pattern

The power of choice lingers
But is quenched by bitterness
To retire to a rocking chair
For a wild ride nowhere

The oppressor within is always blameless
Condensing its rich content of resentment
To the amusement of the accused
Where he stands no chance of condemning
But rejoicing in your emotional release.

I believe we are at our best when our hearts and minds are at rest and not overly consumed by the complexities of life. Living is an art that we all need to have a handle on. That's what Restpiration is all about- Rest and Inspiration
